Persis Karim is a poet, editor, and professor at San Francisco State University where she holds the Neda Nobari Chair and directs the Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies. Her poetry has appeared in a variety of publications including Callaloo, The New York Times, Reed Magazine, The Raven's Perch, and poetsandreamers.com. She is the editor of three anthologies of Iranian diaspora literature.
