Jessica Langlois is a Bay Area–raised, Los Angeles–based journalist, essayist, and educator. She has written about music, art, and culture for LA Weekly, East Bay Express, and KCET’s Artbound, focusing on underrepresented artists and cultural movements, and her literary nonfiction and reported features have appeared in California Northern, Oakland Tribune, American Literary Review, Travelers’ Tales, The Rumpus, and Bitch. Currently Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Loyola Marymount University, she has taught journalism, creative writing, and English composition at multiple colleges and universities.
