Wynn Coates is a graduate student in anthropology at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. His work focuses on class culture and identity in the United States, implicating topics ranging from the meaning of “success” and perspectives on inequality, to practices of self-expression and status aesthetics. His current project looks at middle and upper middle-class weddings in New York City, where he undertook fieldwork. Wynn has a master’s in political science from Queen’s University, Kingston.
