Tom Dalzell

Tom Dalzell grew up outside Philadelphia, earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and became a lawyer in California in 1976. He is a labor lawyer, union leader, and language writer and has written extensively on slang, most notably as the general editor of The New Partridge Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English (Routledge, 2005).
