Shlomo Sand is professor of history at Tel Aviv University and author of The Invention of the Jewish People (2009), The Invention of the Land of Israel (2012), How I Ceased to Be a Jew (2013), and La fin de l’intellectuel français? (2016), among many other works. He specializes in the question of nationalism, film as history, and French intellectual history.
