Paulo Henriques Britto

Paulo Henriques Britto teaches translation, poetry and creative writing at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He has translated about 110 books, including poetry by Byron, Wallace Stevens, and Elizabeth Bishop, and fiction by Henry James, William Faulkner, and Thomas Pynchon. He has also published works of poetry, fiction, theory and criticism. A selection of his poetry, edited and translated by Idra Novey, came out in the U.S in 2007. Seven of his books have won prizes.
