Nicholas Rombes is a writer and Professor of English at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit. He is author of Cinema in the Digital Age (Columbia University Press 2009) as well as A Cultural Dictionary of Punk: 1974-1982 and the 33 1/3 volume Ramones (both from Bloomsbury). His experiment The Blue Velvet Project appeared over a one-year period at Filmmaker Magazine, where he serves as a Contributing Editor.
