Molly Hannon is a freelance writer, who has written for The New York Times, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, The Paris Review, The Daily Beast, among others. She has an MA in arts and culture reporting from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she developed an interest in issues related to stereotypes that surround Muslim women, and the role art — high art and low art — plays in altering those perceptions.
