Marie Scarles

Marie Scarles is a writer, editor, educator, and occasional artist currently based in Philadelphia. She writes about embodiment, late capitalism, chronic illness, work-life, and the hidden histories of urban and rural landscapes. Her work has appeared most recently in The Believer, The Rumpus, Entropy, Tricycle, and Bomb Cyclone. She is an MFA candidate in poetry and nonfiction at Rutgers University–Camden, where she teaches critical and creative writing.
