Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor

Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor is author of the award-winning book From #BlackLivesMatter to Black Liberation (Haymarket Books) published in 2016. Taylor’s second book, an edited collection, How We Get Free: Black Feminism and the Combahee River Collective, won the 2018 Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ Nonfiction. Taylor’s forthcoming book, Race for Profit: How Banks and the Real Estate Industry Undermined Black Homeownership (University of North Carolina Press) will be published in October 2019. Her public writing has been published in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Boston Review, Paris Review, the Guardian, The Nation, and Jacobin. Taylor is assistant professor of African American Studies and the Charles McIlwain Preceptor at Princeton University.
