Her last book, Arresting Cinema: Surveillance in Hong Kong Film, looks at how Hong Kong’s unique surveillance culture shaped one of the world’s most influential cinemas outside of Hollywood. She is currently at work on a book about the Chinese American artist and Disney Legend, Tyrus Wong
