Graham J. Murphy

Graham J. Murphy is a professor with the School of English and Liberal Studies at Seneca College, teaching courses in science fiction, utopianism, and young adult dystopias. His most recent publications include “For Love of Country: Apocalyptic Survivance in Ambelin Kwaymullina’s Tribe Series” for Extrapolation’s special issue on Indigenous Futurism, and an essay on Vandana Singh for the forthcoming collection Dis-Orienting Planets: Racial Representations of Asia in Science Fiction. He is co-editor (with Sherryl Vint) of Beyond Cyberpunk: New Critical Perspectives and has been published on numerous occasions. Ongoing research includes a co-edited anthology on cyberpunk in visual media, including an essay focusing on subnatural insects in BOOM! Studios’s comic book adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, as well as other cyberpunk- and/or insect-related projects in various stages of development.
