Elle Kurancid

Elle Kurancid is an independent writer based in Cairo. Drawing upon the tradition of informed dissent within literary nonfiction and investigative reportage, she has written about Canada’s “Ethical Oil” movement for the Earth Island Journal; America’s “Operation Inherent Resolve” for Truthout; the Assad dynasty for Le Monde diplomatique; olive tree felling in the West Bank for Jadaliyya; and the Calais “Jungle” for the Los Angeles Review of Books, Le Monde diplomatique, Truthout and Jacobin.
