Christopher M. Elias

Christopher Elias is the author of Gossip Men: J. Edgar Hoover, Joe McCarthy, Roy Cohn, and the Politics of Insinuation (University of Chicago Press, 2021). His work explores American politics, culture, and identity with a focus on gender, sexuality, narrative, violence, and the media. He teaches at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
