Dr. Steven Fleming is faculty at the University of Tasmania where he teaches architectural history and theory. Before entering academia, the architect was in charge of large-scale public housing and landscaping works for the Housing and Development Board in Singapore. He has been a visiting scholar at Columbia and Harvard University, and has published over 40 scholarly texts. His long-term fascination with cycling, as a sport and aid to living car-free, led him to start the blog that fuses bicycle activism, humor, and architectural thinking he has also published the first book to examine new trends in architecture and urban design related to the rise of bicycle transport.
