Peter Coviello is professor of English at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He has written about Walt Whitman, the history of sexuality, queer children, 18th- and 19th-century American literature, Mormon polygamy, and Steely Dan. His most recent books are Tomorrow’s Parties: Sex and the Untimely in Nineteenth-Century America, a finalist for a 2013 Lambda Literary Award in LGBT Studies, and Long Players: A Love Story in Eighteen Songs. His next book, Make Yourselves Gods: The Unfinished Business of American Secularism – A Mormon Story, will appear in 2019 from the University of Chicago Press.
