Henry Sloss is a poet born in San Francisco. He received a BA from UC Berkeley and a MA from the University of Minnesota. For the next four decades, he taught English at Washington & Lee University, the University of Maryland, on NATO Bases in Europe — chiefly in Italy, and Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland, where he currently lives. His verse and critical prose have appeared in Poetry, The Paris Review, The Yale Review, The American Scholar, Western Humanities Review, Shenandoah, and elsewhere. His collection of poems, Here & Then, was published by Orchises Press in 2020.
