Fred Turner is associate professor of communication at Stanford University. He previously taught at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before his academic career, he was a journalist for over 10 years, writing for the Boston Phoenix, Boston Sunday Globe, and other publications.
